Take One, Leave One
If love had no sounds, what would you say? A Valentine’s campaign about connection, awareness, and love beyond words.
A Question About Love
In the middle of Car Free Day in Malang, we created a small corner as part of our Valentine’s campaign.
A simple space, inviting people to pause and sit with one question:
If love had no sound, what would you say?
We called it Take One, Leave One.
A Small Gesture, A Deeper Meaning
We prepared a board filled with special keychains from Kopi Cinta, each attached with a small hangtag holding trivia and fun facts about the Deaf world.
At a glance, it felt simple. But we hoped it could be more than that.
Something to take home, not just as an object, but as a new understanding and a different perspective.
Take One, But First Connect
Before taking one, we invited people to do something first: to connect.
They were encouraged to interact directly with our Deaf friends— to try, to understand, and to feel what connection looks like without sound.
Leave One, From the Heart
After that, we asked them to leave something behind. Not an item, but words.
Through small sticky notes, they wrote their thoughts responding to one simple question:
“If love had no sounds, what would you say?”
And from there came answers that felt honest, warm, and deeply human.
Even Without Sound, Love Speaks
For us, Take One, Leave One was never just about Valentine’s Day. It was about a different kind of love—one that is not always spoken, but still deeply felt.
The day passed like any other. People came and went. But the words they left behind stayed.
A quiet reminder that even without sound, love always finds its way to be heard.
